This is a typical braiwash school, like in the communist countries. There is no climate crisis but propaganda to force us into Agenda 2030. Difficult to understand if you know noting about communism. Remember that CO2 is the gas of life.😊

This lecture is misnamed - 'The Big Picture on Energy and Climate', but his focus is far too narrow, mainly demonising CO2 (and by proxy, 'us'). Maybe he didn't know 6 years ago that some people were looking MUCH wider, at the whole system of climate, energy, population, ecology, economy and politics. People like Daniel Schmachtenberger, Nate Hagens and Bjorn Lomborg. His belief in wind and solar is naive. I believe future generations will look back on them as we look back on eugenics, asbestos and thalidamide.

The only thing we know for sure about CO2 is that it turns the earth green.

Remember when these types were mostly on the street corners wearing the, "The End is Near" signs? Front and back collecting change in their , End is near, black little buckets. Ah, the good old days. What to do about food is a MUCH more complex subject, partly because of the widespread strong emotions about what we're eating.

53:00 Income taxes are fundamentally foolish, simply because you have to handle hundreds of millions of point sources. As a general matter, it would make more sense to tax raw materials, as you want to encourage conserving those anyway, and of course the costs will propagate through the rest of the economy. It's more complex than that, but you can apply tweaks to the edge cases.

What is the use of getting electricity when the super rich people change a big amount of money for their products. We might as well try to relearn how to use small nuclear power with the size of a lead pencil to power up small things that we need to do than to buy electricity that are super expensive for our needs. If push comes to shove we would rather go back to the land and refuse, reject things that we cannot afford. I know people are reading my comments, I don't know if it is good or bad all I know is that we are not able to buy things now. Inflation favors the businesses of the super rich,and however they hate us right for buying their products but they brag about their profits that comes from us. All you TLM faithfuls, let us ask for deliverance now. Their products are being used to still to us but the return is they want to destroy us. Imposing a much higher gas tax with the proceeds returned to income tax payers has a lot going for it. One additional way of getting from here to there: Bare down on the ignorant politicians and other pontificators who incorrectly ascribe every weather aberration on climate change, cite unrealistic time limits that are impossible to meet, and otherwise confuse the issue with their over-confident ignorance.

The Era of honest scientific studies is dead. It died by political grant. These paid for productions are right up there with the Salem witch climate crisis or don't fall off the earth flat earthers. Only natural gas and nuclear are best way for reliable energy .Not an immediate need to stop use of oil which at current levels of consumption we have at least 40. Yrs of known quantity s Carbon is not the enemy radicals claim

I appreciate his statement that science hasn't reversed a big concept. But he hasn't lived through covid where science was perverted. And he didn't discuss the perversions of science in the soviet union that killed millions by starvation, or china today under their zero covid policies that had them lock down populations to the point people starve to death. Climate change involves computer models that don't demonstrate we know how Climate works. It demonstrates how understanding Climate is more complex than represented to us. Climate change has been massively politicized. That's they worry.

1980-1984 I transferred in as a Psych major but came across an insane temp professor. I was headed for an A in his Developmental Psych class when he maliciously changed location of his final exam announcing it on a day when I was absent. I showed up to an empty classroom for the final and got an F instead of my A. There were so many complaints about him that he was fired. I switched to majors in Bio and Art and complete both with honors despite the F on my record. The only other problem I encountered was Micro Professor, "Cactus" Jack Diehl, but Angstadt's generosity more than made up for Jack. Overall, I got a very good education from Lycoming and I am sorry that two dear friends of mine couldn't handle their freedoms away from home and had to drop out.

After seeing how much effort Lyco is putting into being more open and touching on ‘uncomfortable’ conversations like racial issues, my mind was set. I can’t wait to be a part of the warrior family and see even more growth in the community! #Lyco2026

Scholars was such a wonderful part of my Lyco experience. Not only did it motivate me to stay on top of my studies, but I also learned a lot that I wouldn't have without being exposed to all the various disciplines.
